President’s Pen
On behalf of the Eglin Spouses’ Club (ESC), I would like to extend a sincere welcome to the beautiful Emerald Coast and the sunny Florida Panhandle. We are proud of our club and our community and hope your assignment to this area is enjoyable for you and your family.
ESC social gatherings consist of a monthly event. The daytime socials begin at 10:30 and evening socials begin at 6:00. The Sandscript, our newsletter, provides detailed information about our functions and other ongoing activities.
Throughout the month, there are also a variety of activities for you to enjoy. Some of the activities include Flicks with Friends, Moms and Munchkins in Motion, Bunco, Mah Jongg, Book Club, and Lunch Bunch. Our activities and clubs provide such a wonderful place to make new friends and to relax that we hope you will consider joining one. If you have an interest that is not represented in the current activities list or would like to lead a group, please contact Bev Boyle at specialactivities@eglinsc.com
Besides serving as a social outlet for its members, the ESC supports the greater Eglin community through charitable works. Some of the those volunteer efforts include raising charitable funds and scholarships through the ESC’s ECAT (Eglin Consignment and Thirft) Thrift Shop, and volunteering out in the community when needed. To volunteer at the ECAT, please call 850-678-4726 or email them at thriftshop@eglinsc.com. Feel free to contact me to get involved in any other volunteer or fund raising efforts supported by the ESC.
